PERSPECTIVE FOR THOSE DARK MOMENTS
It took me a while to understand that those tough moments, failures, rejections, trying experiences, heartbreaks, all had their purpose in shaping me who I am today.
EXPERIMENT WITH SPEAKING UP
No matter what age we are, we all hesitate to speak up sometimes. We're all afraid to expose ourselves. We all cave in sometimes. The only way to become more assertive is to experiment. To try it out. See how it feels.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE
Stay in that discomfort and learn what is it that you're feeling drawn to. Skepticism will show up. Frustration will show up. Choose to stay optimistic. Take action. There is no better time than now to begin.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR A TOUGH MEETING
One of the most common problems we solve in coaching sessions is communication skills and strategies. Here are some questions to ask yourself as you prepare for the conversation you know you ought to have.
GET CURIOUS
There really aren't shortcuts when it comes to finding what fits YOU. The only shortcut I discovered is actually stopping and taking it all in. What have I always been interested in?
GET TO KNOW YOURSELF
I realized recently that perhaps the reason it took me so long to figure out my calling was that I was looking for the wrong outcome. I wasn't actually looking for the right job.
SHOW YOUR WHOLE SELF
This week, my invitation to you is to open up the door to your complex, deep soul a little bit more. Show your whole self to a few more people
THANK YOU (for embracing YOUR gifts)
It’s an interesting thing that we’re grateful for other people’s creations. I believe that we’re all her to liberate ourselves and embrace our gifts and bring them out into the world. I’m doing so, we fulfill our purpose(s) and we’re ecstatic and content and the world is grateful for our efforts. She said - think if the Beatles gave up because their egos got in the way, or because it seemed like they were too young and too inexperienced? Or Taylor Swift? Or Lizzo? What a loss would it have been if we didn’t hear their music.
JOY IS BOTH THE GOAL *AND* THE PRACTICE
In coaching, we look at this fear; we look at our inner critic that this fear creates; we invite self compassion to the table; we practice empathy for others who might have our best interest in mind yet acknowledge that only *we* know in our gut what’s good for us; we practice building trust in ourself and the goodness of human kind despite what we see in media; we build a vision that represents our hearts’ desire; we practice healthy habits, to be our most powerful self.
2 HAPPINESS BUILDING TOOLS
I bet on these two tools and they haven’t yet let me down. They both guide me to keep my eye on the prize. They approve of my wild ideas, and cheer me on. They are born from the bigger power of Optimism, something we can absolutely grow on a Petri dish at home.
